I didn't have high hopes for this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. Seskis switches the narrator between Emily, her family, and her friends and also between the present and the past. It's a great, complex, and heart wrenching read.
I removed a star because I felt that the ending was very rushed, but overall I really enjoyed this story.
